We are often asked…why? We don’t have a great answer, except that it’s memorable. We like the cadence, and we’re a musical sort. It’s not an offense; to be certain, Wisconsin is lovely. Check out the music, and feel free to share.

We’re excited to announce the release of our upcoming third album. We’ll drop a song a month in the coming months, starting with ‘Enough to a Degree‘ which came out on December 10, 2021. Next up, we’ll have ‘White Sands’ on January 7…follow us on our instagramfacebook, and spotify, or wherever you find your music to stay up to date. Also, join our email list below.

Made up of Dave Yantorno (songwriter, vocals, guitar), Angela Yantorno (violin, vocals), John Young (bass, Brooks Miner (keyboard), and Bill King (drums), Not From Wisconsin have been performing its blend of indie rock/chamber folk since 2008. We have released two records, a self-titled debut in 2010, ‘And Again’ released in 2015, and a third album due out in 2022.

“Given that their compositions tend to oscillate back and forth between ripping, syncopated rock tunes and slow, meditative, country-inflected songs … Not From Wisconsin is able by turns to sound as ticked off as Uncle Tupelo and as pensive as Mazzy Star.” Ithaca Times
